MY TRAINING

I’ve always been fascinated by the workings of the brain and the powers of our mind. Before placing them at the heart of my professional practice, I worked for a long time in Human Resources Management. In my position, it was very difficult to establish a one-to-one relationship. I wanted to get out of the box, so that people could feel me at their side.
I went back to school and trained in various therapeutic approaches, most of them psycho-somatic. This term, which comes from the Greek words “psyche” (soul, spirit) and “soma” (body), links emotional and physical pain. The body, like the mind, imbibes our sensations, memories and traumas to react in a physical way. By exploring the root causes of physical pain and illness in a holistic way, we can treat and release buried trauma.

MY SPECIALIZATIONS

The EMTE

EMTE body-psychotherapy combines massage, energy therapy and psychological and spiritual guidance. This approach addresses the different dimensions of our being – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The aim of massage is to release physical tensions and related emotional blockages. Energy work aims to harmonize energy centers. Psychological support combines different approaches: systemic, humanistic psychotherapy, the Williams Reich approach and Jungian psychoanalysis. Spiritual work focuses on mindfulness.

My training : ATMARM School-Brussels

Therapeutic hypnosis

Hypnosis is a state of altered consciousness which – by activating certain brain regions and reducing the activity of others – creates an inner bubble and focused attention on internal sensations. Within this bubble, with the help of hypnotic protections, we can work on traumas and desensitize painful content and memories. By “reliving” them in a secure setting, we’ll be able to “digest” them and put an end to a process that’s poisoning our existence.

My training courses:

  • Strategic Conversational Hypnosis PTR (Reassociative Trauma Psychotherapy) at the IMHEB Institute (Milton Erickson Institute of Belgium);
  • New Ericksonian Hypnosis and Psychotherapy at AFNH (Association Française de Nouvelle Hypnose).
Clinical EFT

Clinical EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is an emotional management method combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and acupuncture. It consists in stimulating certain energy points on the body (acupuncture meridians) while focusing on the problem you wish to treat (psychology). By stimulating acupressure points, a relaxation signal is sent to the brain and body, bringing calm and desensitizing traumatic memories. Ideal for managing stress and strong emotions, Clinical EFT is also effective for supporting people who have suffered serious trauma, and for dealing with older, more deep-rooted issues.

My training:

Master Practitioner in Clinical EFT and Energy Psychology from IFPEC (Institut Francophone de Psychothérapie Emotionnelle et Cognitive). My training program includes the latest discoveries such as Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theories, REM (Memory Reconsolidation) and the basics of IFS (Internal Family System).

MY PRACTICE

I opened my practice in Uccle in 2013. While my tools and techniques are a support that I use according to your issues and goals, building a therapeutic relationship with you is at the heart of my practice. As a therapist, I help you discover the solutions that lie within you. My approach as a psychotherapist also draws on my own personal experience. This is how I “discovered” the therapeutic power of meditation some twenty years ago, after the loss of my father. I can help you train your mind and heart to achieve inner stability.

FOR WHOM? FOR WHAT?

  • Particularly sensitive to certain issues that echo my own personal experience, my caring, non-judgmental approach can help you in the following situations:
  • Major life upheavals: bereavement, separation, redundancy, post-traumatic stress…;
  • Personal development: learning to manage stress and anxiety, dealing with self-image issues, developing self-esteem, managing emotions, overcoming limiting beliefs…;
  • Relationship with the body: eating disorders, weight management, chronic pain…

I work with adults and adolescents. Consultations take place either in the office or by videoconference (Skype, Zoom, ..). My sessions are conducted in French, English and Italian.

Why wait longer ? Just take the first step and make contact !

Psychotherapy sessions

What is fascinating in many of our psychotherapy sessions, is the relatively limited time that is needed before the therapists understands your problem and has a clear picture of it. When you come to your consultation session and tell your therapist about your problem, we will first of all consider together how this problem occurs, where it comes from and the impact it has on you and your life.

Couples therapy

When a couple’s situation is such that the two people can no longer put up with each other, or that communication becomes practically impossible or at the least is very difficult, then it is worth calling a counsellor to try and re-establish communication and review the problems.

A first consult

There is never a good or a bad time to take that first step and make contact with a therapist.

Whatever your problem, your worry or simply your desire to speak or to be listened to, you can call any of our therapists whenever you feel the need. It is your desire and your need that are at the heart of this process.

Get in touch !

You are absolutely free to get in touch with any of the therapists on this website (you don’t need a medical prescription to make an appointment with a therapist)…

Rest assured…

All therapists are sworn to professional confidentiality: under no circumstance can they give personal information about their patients to anyone else (whether it be a member of their family, a doctor or a colleague) unless the patient specifically asks them to. In other words: your privacy is guaranteed.
